How do I update the Alpha?
Updates are manual. Save your work, quit Fanta and back up the complete project folder before replacing the app in Applications with a newer verified installer. Check the download page for the accepted version and tested macOS build.
Why does Code show a saved-source refresh warning?
The accepted Build45 recording showed ‘Could not refresh saved source: oneshot canceled’ after a canvas save. Saved FNX retained the edit and reopening restored Code. Verify the saved change and resolve drafts before closing, then reopen before editing source. Report a persistent warning or a mismatch between saved source and canvas.
Can we edit one canvas together online?
Comments, replies, resolution and agent cursor presence are local to the open project and app. Real-time multiplayer editing and cross-agent locks are not supported workflows. Team billing and shared credit allowances do not provide a shared live canvas.
What is FNX?
FNX is Fanta’s JSX-like working format. It represents frames, objects, components, variables and layout as readable source. Editing the canvas updates FNX, and editing FNX updates the canvas.
Where are my projects stored?
Projects live as ordinary files in the location you choose on your disk. Core editing is local-first and works without an internet connection; hosted generation and account services require a connection.
Which desktop builds are available?
The Public Alpha targets Apple Silicon macOS. The download page shows the verified installer’s availability and tested requirements. Windows, Linux and Intel Mac downloads are not included in this release.
Can I open a Figma file?
Fanta imports .fig documents and preserves supported frames, vectors, text, components, variables and layout structure so the result remains editable. Complex plugin-specific or unsupported effects may require adjustment.
Do visual edits and code edits really stay in sync?
Yes. FNX is not a read-only developer handoff. Property changes, object edits and source changes update the same document model, so both surfaces remain authoritative and undoable.
What happens when a generation fails?
Requests blocked before provider dispatch and generation failures confirmed during reconciliation bill 0 credits. Interrupted requests can consume credits, and uncertain provider results can keep credits reserved until reconciliation. Prior successful metered agent calls retain their spend. Successful results can be added to the project and placed as supported media layers.
How do I buy hosted AI credits?
Use web Billing to subscribe to Pro, Plus, Max or Team or buy a one-time credit pack. Pro includes 3,000, Plus 7,000 and Max 15,000 monthly credits for one person; Team includes a shared 6,000 per month across five seats. Annual plans release credits monthly. Unused paid credits roll over. Public trial, signup and referral credits are not offered.
Can spent AI credits be refunded?
Spent hosted AI credits are not refundable under our voluntary policy. Contact support@fantaisa.net to request manual review of a partial refund limited to unused paid credits, using original purchase terms, price, and payment and usage evidence. Current balance alone does not determine a refundable amount. Annual cancellation stops renewal; unused credits and future annual allowances require manual review with no automatic refunds or prorations. Refunds required by law or the payment provider still apply.
Can I use my own provider or agent?
The app supports configured provider keys and agent connections. Follow the current connection guide and the routes shown in your installed app. Provider charges are separate from Fanta hosted credits; adding a key does not make every hosted generation route available.
Can agents edit the document?
Agents can inspect design state, capture the canvas and apply structured edits through local MCP. The server is enabled by default and can be turned off in Settings. Changes are reviewable, undoable document operations.
Does Fanta train on my work?
Fanta does not use private documents, prompts, images or generated outputs to train models. A provider you intentionally connect may apply its own terms, so review that provider’s policy before sending content.
How do I report a reproducible editor bug?
Include the build number, operating system, steps to reproduce and the smallest project that demonstrates the problem. Never send a sensitive project unless support specifically asks and you choose to share it.
How do I get support?
Alpha support is founder-led. Send private account or billing questions to support@fantaisa.net. For reproducible editor bugs, include the release version, operating system, steps and a small non-sensitive sample.
